August 9-Aug 11, 2013
Long Ridge Farm, Westmoreland, New Hampshire
nancy zeller
maven and alchemist of longridge
has been in touch
longridge farm is a magical place in new hampshire
a place of woods and sheep
and last year even papermaking!
this summer
nancy has invited me to teach
north country shifu
we will spend contemplative hours
cutting lokta and kozo
spinning
weaving into shifu
on tiny looms
and prepping books to hold our samples
please join us for three days of magic.
if you're fascinated by paper
and spinning
and weaving
(and a surprise or two)
site for more on this weekend.
i, for one, and tickled to be there,
working in the woods.
nancy says we need a couple more students,
maybe you?
it looks magical, how I wish I could be there. it is so wonderful that you are teaching the joy of shifu to others.
ReplyDeletejean, i would love to have you!

ReplyDeleteooooo how delicious!!!!!..... you know what I always say (after I say 'dammit why can't I go?') .... 'if wishes were horses'...
ReplyDeletehi Velma
ReplyDeleteoh how i would love to come and play! i missed out on your visit to beautiful silks last year, but as a result of missing out, set the task of teaching myself to make yarn from kozo and now spend my days weaving it into shifu. i am happily bumbling along on my own! the opportunity to spend time with fellow shifu "lovers" such as yourself would be such a pleasure... will have to wait and cross fingers that you return to oz again someday soon!
ive been posting my progress on my blog - id love you to pop by and visit! (http://www.sammiam.wordpress.com)
cheers
