melissa put me on to this
review written by ann starr
about
revive and renew,
the morgan show i was part of,
all of us working in/with eastern paper.
thank you ann!
i'm proud to have my
work included
in a stellar group of paper artists.
yesterday i had to go
unexpectedly to the dentist mid-morning
(another broken tooth)
so i took a back way and
encountered five deer, two does, three fawns,
on the road.
they were fine until they became nervous and they all panicked.
like wildfire fear flashed,
and
one ran directly off the asphalt and into a marsh--
a wild leap and a huge splash!
i've never seen such a thing!
the deer right here
is very used to people
but did get nervous.
it's the edge of autumn and they are twitchy.
so are the clouds
and the sky
and there was hard frost before work
i couldn't catch it,
but it was glowing and steaming in places
and there was evidence in at home in my library
of mouse wantonness.
right in the middle of the floor!
there was knocked down a little gift from carol
which
scattered bits of red clover about!
very strange, indeed.
and then i found another wonder--
a black eyed susan that had three eyes,
and two sets of petals,
and one stem!
signs and wonders
are here.
everywhere.
time to make some art! quick,
before the magic fails!
the shows looks wonderful, wish I could have seen it. the sky sets the scene for life in the ecotone - the deer, flowers and wee beasties!
ReplyDeleteLots of twitchy deer here, too. Strange black-eyed susan!
ReplyDeleteI could almost feel the fur in the skin ripple of that spooked deer. Did a mouse really open that box? Smart mouse. Most would have just chewed through if something inside was desired. 'Signs and wonders'--oh yes, and perhaps add 'anomalies and warnings' to the sunflower evidence, but do not be alarmed. The trick is always in unconditional acceptance and ingrained trust as you clearly know so well. Onward to the art play.......
ReplyDeletecorrection--black eyes sue's
ReplyDeletejean, yes, the show was lovely and now, in transition, everything is twitchy and bold.

ReplyDeleteWe seem to be tussling our way into Spring with ups and downs and tempests and sunbursts...a funny old time.
V- with an artist eye one gets the opportunity to see so many more things in the ordinary daily life. I'm t as I create more my sense of life and colour around me grows - something I'm really thankful for. Go well. B
ReplyDeletefiona and barry, you two are in opposite land and experiencing another equinox and know full well that it's the making that matters.
