winter song

 i was startled today
looking at inside and outside
seeing
how nature can be reflected in work
how it is all connected
how, when you learn to get out of the way,
remember,
something rich happens
i don't know how it happened,
really,
but sometimes i can say
without words
look at this!
that's when i have something to say
really
when it's not me talking at all.
but i do, indeed have plenty to say
talk talk talk talk talk...
it's when i shut up,
a dog brays down the hill,
at the coyotes playing tricks
up here behind the meadows.
colors start to sing their winter song.
and snow mixes it up with rain and sun.

if you ever need a hand to hand-write your beautiful words on your dream-laden paper.....in a magical book (somehow, someday)....please consider my right hand for the job. It'll know what to do.

  2. lovely, poetic words,
    together
    with those two perfect images
    say it all.

  3. Inspired by the image and the thought. I think it's coming on time for some of this eco-printing though I have often had rather disappointing results in the past, I'm ready to try again :-)

  4. funny, michelle, it took me many many hours of trying to start being pleased with my printing. i think you have to find how it suits your own thoughts/work/head/heart somehow.

  12. V - love how nature gives us the pallet to imitate; and the actual essence to create the actual work on cloth and paper. B
