woke this morning to another 10 inches of
SNOW
yep!
mother nature loves to play tricks
or
as my wise nephew once said
back in the 80's
"we don't know
what we've done to the weather,"
aunt velma.
anyway,
it is a snowy morning.
this is friday
the ladies are looking
a bit disheveled.
work at the new place
continues
studio space
see the snow was melting!
and thaw was everywhere
until i got up this morning
10 inches or so
of new snow
yep,
but the birds are singing,
and spring is coming.
i am beavering away
getting ready for the
book arts fair in portland.
this fair is fun.
and, weather permitting,
i'll be there next sunday!
Oooo... good to see the ladies! Love the cut stalk stubs poking out in a line like little stitches. Happy that the persipitation is rain here as I have a cord of wood in the driveway that I would not want to shovel out. Good that this time of year we can count on snow melting pretty fast. And, no, we just don't know what we have done to the weather - or anything else for that matter - wise nephew.
ReplyDeleteoh oh oh the new place oh oh oh!!!! we also got dumped on but it's melting already today and the sun is brilliant. thinking of you, though you may have won the bit of getting taxes done. :)
ReplyDeletevalerie, that nephew is one of my sister's four wonderful kids, and he is a wise man, indeed. but oh, the plow left 6-7 ft piles!
ReplyDeleteaimee, oh, rats, i forgot about the taxes…been making prints, instead.
Hope the sun comes out soon !
ReplyDeleteLOVE your new place
(ha, so wonderful empty)
els, me, too, and there's not one dog hair in that place. yet.
ReplyDeleteGuess the syrup tappers are happy....does this count as a sugar snow?
ReplyDeleteYes Ladies, Spring is processing as fast as it can get a word into the argument with Winter. Your new place is inspiring--there are red cloths waving off that line viewed through the window frame. Hope. May all go well for your fair arrival.
ReplyDeletethanks, michelle, that red is a 1985 dodge pickup! but it's looking like a home. almost.
ReplyDeleteindia, who knows? maybe it's a base layer for the next three months of skiing!
ReplyDeleteHmm and I am about to go to the place of endless summer, makes all that snow seem very unreal.
ReplyDeleteoh, oh! I hope your reward is a wonderful long, beautiful summer. the straw ladies are looking a bit weary. the new place is magnificent. wonder where the robins are hiding?
ReplyDeletejean, me, too! it hopes knowing you have actual real flowers blooming!
ReplyDeletetrace, a new adventure for you…endless summer
