frustration

ok, i know i've been spoiled rotten by summertime in australia.
but geesh!
snow and snow and cold and cold.
you should see the end of my driveway!
and the kitchen cold water is frozen.
and i still don't have a camera replacement.
i got one--too big--
returned.
i got a second--
too fancy--
returned
and today i ordered one almost just like my old
plain old
powershot.
the kicker?
it's cheaper! and RED!!!
so here, trace, is my photo
taken by YOU!
which proves that i do not always break cameras and
that my good friends put up with me
as i look at the melbourne now exhibit.
i can say
in all honesty
that australians are among
the finest, friendliest people i've met.
and the north country, dear place,
it's time to warm up
just a tiny bit.
please.

I agree, I just had to buy another cord of wood cause it was just too close to be sure. Its now under a tarp in the driveway under a few inches of snow, and there's a glacier between the driveway and the wood shed. I won't be stacking it in there unless I borrow a dogsled to move it!

Lovely picture of you and I'm interested in what you're looking at. I love my powershot, too! Nothing fancy, but it works for me.

Perhaps I should put up the photo of you taking a photo with your beloved camera? And for the new one, perhaps make a pouch and wear it around your neck, no more putting it in those pesky too small pockets.

do not despair. it's 'round the corner

valerie, glaciers are everywhere…it looks like a snow drift and when you step into it huge ice shelves bite your foot. and the large amounts of firewood at the new place are hugely diminished, too.
trace, good idea. maybe i will learn!
neki, i know, i know…

Ya gotta love those PowerShots! I've had 3 now, the latest is blue (no red available in the store that day or...) - everyone needs a PowerShot of RED in one's life from time to time. (grin) Hang in there; spring's coming.

are those big wire dilly bags by Lorraine Connelly Velma? She gave the most fabulous talk at Object here in Sydney earlier this month.

jude, will you draw it?
margaret, mine was lovely and really quite good. this one is from the same series.
mc, not sure, but you're probably right. i was overloaded and didn't get the name.
