so there's some (more) snow
and this lovely light was frigid last evening.
almost as cold right now
it was too cold to walk
my nose hurt
but it was beautiful
with light strong, intense
and secret hidey holes and shadows
frost heave causes many scares
while driving the back roads.
this morning the snow was squeeky
and i knew we were below zero.
again.
some treasures i picked up
at the grampians texture
waiting for experimental stitches
of some sort.
the leavings from some
frozen blueberries
patterning the inside of
a yogurt container.
some drawing experiments
under ecoprinting
and today, after,
well i'll let you know what i think
once they're all dry.
brrr! but i love that you are back home, as cold as it is.
ReplyDeleteIts amazing, huh, how many squeaky snow days there have been! Roads are horrific, our state doesn't seem to put up signs, though, would be a good idea!!
ReplyDeleteaimee and valerie, i'm enjoying the backhomeness but not the cold. when spring moves in i will be happy, but even i see this lovely snow as a blessing. remember: poor man's fertilizer!
ReplyDeleteoh my! winter has gone on for a long time, beautiful but I'm happy I'm on the wet coast.
ReplyDeleteTree shadows on bright snow. Breathtaking! Sitting in mild and mellow South Africa with out sleeves, I can wish for snow but I know I wouldn't be happy driving through it to work every day.
ReplyDeletejean, wet, without freezing sounds good!
ReplyDeleterobyn, subaru + snow tires = safe!
I love the crispness of the bright blue skies and the snow - it feels positive and maybe signals Spring? Even if it is oh so cold still…sending Spring-like thoughts your way
ReplyDeletephone picture snapping is so immediate, spontaneous and addictive! lovely treasures.
