  2. I see a wise old one with a huge ear in that first image. The little tiny eye and big nose and open mouth. Funny little person.

and I'm sick of proving I'm not a robot, but I'm getting so much spam since I took this thing off my blog :(

  7. What delights one sees when taking a good close look. Love the change in perspective and the possibilities offered...especially from the tribute the wise one was left in the first photo.

jennifer, i've been working on looking big, but small and up close is so satisfying.

  9. that last image is wonderful. when i was teaching the little ones, we used to wrinkle up paper and then tell stories about 'what we see'.

  11. yes i realise it's a burl, but if you squint really hard it's a fossilized ram's head.

  12. the burl reminds me of a head of a tortoise eating grass, or taking a nap. enjoy your reading, and don't get too snowbound!
