there was rain and even sun!
i went to mid morning yoga!
home for lunch and a nap, oh lovely nap!
and then the snow came on
 and on
 and on
and i just shoveled very wet
but fairly thick
six or so inches
i have some reading material

  2. WOW, i am jealous. just today i looked out the window to see a girl playing on top of the one dirty bit of snow left outside, jumping up and down. and then she ran off into the still partly green grass on the rest of the lawn. it made me feel sad that so many kids will grow up here without REALLY knowing snow, winter, cold.

  4. The snow on the trees is so beautiful. I so love that. Here, it all got rained off, but we now have another thick layer of snow on top of the other frozen icebergs.

  10. beautiful photos. like thread marks over the red.

we've had the first grass cut here in NC, and the birds are chattering all excited about something i can not translate, but it sounds good.

  15. Winter is monochrome, it looks, Velma, but you've turned the barest of seasons into a poem.
