my other comment disappeared...but it went like this...nature's ornaments..snowglobes in the palm of your hand. mum's puppy walked around with a white beard whenever we ventured out...a hound (beagle) with her nose to the ground and every time she looked up - white faces...wendy's happy days...we got our first snow today, 1.7" - hiho to wendy.
BEAUTIFUL--Still waiting here in hot NYC...I'm going to get back to MA the week of the 12th...I can not bear the concrete much longer....my longing is palpable as a hunger.
Nice to have a sense of winter... are those red osier dogwood creating that red in the last image? Dreaming of snow.. not ONE snowshoe yet this winter!! ( though there were a few days possible)
valerie, close, the hard and harsh canes of wild raspberries. you had the creeping crud, too. my two times skiing really made me want more, then i got sick.
the red is a heartbeat in the middle of the frozen world. I'm still thinking of your last post & wanted to share this amazing piece I saw years ago, by a local artist. http://www.flickr.com/photos/mandygreer/sets/72157608756719969/show/
lucky you...no apples here this year, no snow anytime soon. I think it stinks. at my end.
ReplyDeleteit's just not right somehow.
pity party done. (<:
there were only a few, nancy, and i was surprised to find this one left behind. the snow isn't very deep, though it snowed all day long.
ReplyDeleteOh, it looks so winter wonderland-y and here we are celebrating buds and bulbs and blossoms. I'm sure Wendy wishes it would go on forever!
ReplyDeletejean, wendy loves the snow for sure.
