  5. my other comment disappeared...but it went like this...nature's ornaments..snowglobes in the palm of your hand. mum's puppy walked around with a white beard whenever we ventured out...a hound (beagle) with her nose to the ground and every time she looked up - white faces...wendy's happy days...we got our first snow today, 1.7" - hiho to wendy.

  9. BEAUTIFUL--Still waiting here in hot NYC...I'm going to get back to MA the week of the 12th...I can not bear the concrete much longer....my longing is palpable as a hunger.

  11. Nice to have a sense of winter... are those red osier dogwood creating that red in the last image? Dreaming of snow.. not ONE snowshoe yet this winter!! ( though there were a few days possible)

  12. valerie, close, the hard and harsh canes of wild raspberries. you had the creeping crud, too. my two times skiing really made me want more, then i got sick.
