i am well.
shhh!
i don't want to curse myself.
one of the many painted turtles i've "rescued" this spring
pretty, and such nice manners!
the snapping turtles
while more earthy looking
are fierce
the painted are easy to carry to safety
~~~
wrapping up a studio/mill/garage
very high up
great marks
really!
this visitor seems to find
my window screen
a suitable place to hang out
maybe it sees some of the colors inside
and feels right at home.
these papers are part of my new project:
a dry garden
hortus siccus.
i am very excited about this!
glad to hear you are finally well. i thought 'tiled floor' when i saw your beautiful papers. that would be a gorgeous tiled floor (that last image).
ReplyDeletedeanna, thanks, and what tiles they would be. maybe a bit like that 50's linoleum?!!
ReplyDeleteha...yes...didn't see that before.
ReplyDeleteREally nice Velma. BTW, I am dealing with ground hogs, how to rid them, ahhh, building a deeply-set fence around my city garden!
ReplyDeletechristine, well, there was a monty python scene in my yard, with one of us running east and chasing the demon with a broom, the other one west with a watering can. we both connected (not simultaneously) with said critter, but he was big and wily and escaped, hasn't been back! the critter expert said we've traumatized him and he (critter) was only trying out my place as a condo site for his potential lady.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear you are well once again. Love to see the turtles. I need to see more turtles!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are well, and what wonderful colors in papers, I love them!
ReplyDeleteI saw your name/comment over at the What If Diaries this evening ... are you newly with us, Velma? What a pleasure if so!
ReplyDeleteAnd this whole dry garden idea ... BRILLIANT ... very excited to see where you'll go. For the moment tho, very, very good that you are on the mend.
wooo! + you've got a mine in tyvek!
ReplyDeletenancy, in spring, turtles here are on the move and since there are so many wetlands and so many roads we get to see lots of them
ReplyDeleteleena, thank you, the papers are dancing!
sweetpea, not new, just looking mostly, and glad you like this, more to come
neki, yes, the tyvek graphics are way cool
It's good to have visitors to cheer you up and get you on to the road to recovery, Velma.
ReplyDeleteI hope we see more of your new work.
Loving your dry garden .... good camouflage for moth visitors. Glad you are feeling better, Velma.
ReplyDeletefaisal, it's coming right along
ReplyDeleterobyn, grina all around
jude, yep!
