No snow (hardly one days dust) where I was in Massachusetts, nor, more reasonably, here in NYC! The weather has turned sort of Late Fall...and so it goes. We gathered black hawthorn branches for wreaths. There were some nights of stars.
ReplyDeleteVelma, it always heartens me to see your spare, understated but poignant posts. Each one is like a poem. I may not be able to find a lot of words to respond, but that's kind of nice to me, when there are often too many words everywhere. This is just to say that their meditative quality is soothing.
ReplyDeletesnow stitchery .... a perfect title for this image
ReplyDeleteLike you -- but many thousands of miles north and west -- I live in a land of deer and snow at this time of year. Thank you for yet another beautiful expression of natural calm and...reality.
ReplyDeletesuch a diversity of images - we have snow forecasted but I generally see more in your pictures than on the ground here.
ReplyDeletems, yes, here it likes to tease us too, but it's getting colder and the snow stayed over a week.
ReplyDeletefaisal, thank you, indeed. i'm a pretty quiet person, i sometimes have to work at the word thing!
robyn, yes! i look at that fenceline all the time and think of barbedwire stitches
margaret, yes, i don't eat venison, but often wish i could get some of my protein from our fourleggeds.
jean, it's all gone, again, streams and ditches running, but it will return, i hope.
Velma your country looks so familiar my mother grew up on a farm near Hemmingford Quebec not far from where you are!
ReplyDeletehi mo, well! and i'll be in oz in february!
ReplyDeleteI hope you will be able to find a bit of extra time to stay with the Old Man Crow and me here in the Big Smoke of Sydney, we'll paint the town indigo!
ReplyDeletevery tempting, mo!
