snow dance

the ladies are wearing white
 in the deep afternoon
 long pre-solstice shadows
on the one clear day this week
see how many colors of snow there are!
 as daylight
sinking already
 about 3:15 pm
and up close.
you can see
how beautiful the work
of humans
in the landscape
can be.

  3. How fortunate to have a landscape like this to look deeply at. How varied it is in angle, tone and color when viewed like this.

  6. No, not crazy at all.. possessing of VISION, you see and present them differently each time, revealing how one form is transformed again and again in beauty.

  8. valerie, thanks, this is a very good way to see it!
therese, you're welcome. it's my drive, though, if i got to walk by them i would have met them all and had long conversations and the amish folk would think me more than mad! instead, i pull off the road and snap away, trying not to offend or aim toward a house or a human.
