the detour
has meant
that i've
really seen
a new watershed
and this morning
i stopped, turned off the car, listened and looked.
water and fog muffled the geese
who still kept constant discussion.
a duck swam by
and behind me on the road
heading south
a horse trotted a soft rhythm.
where would we be without your eyes and ears and heart? thanks for sharing, as always.
ReplyDeleteOh my.... astonishingly beautiful.
ReplyDeletethe last photo reminds me so much of the last photo on jude's blog...where the wing'd red cloth is laying with the leaves.the discussion of scraps of self and winging things...happened here this morning as well...even the wing'd formation the geese fly in are filters of themselves.
ReplyDeleteaimee, speechless. i am SO glad i can be here, now.
ReplyDeletevalerie, i couldn't believe how perfect it was, and how ordinary.
henrietta, the geese were on the waters there, as was the duck, only the fog was skybound.

ReplyDeletecait, did it heal that wretched one? i wish--it was a brief, intense, and totally "normal" north country morning at upper and lower lakes.
A moment, taken slowly, can have more value than a whole day raced through.
