october richness

i've been
watching carefully the i am ai, we are ai project led by
rowland ricketts
and the natural colours exhibition
that i wish i could attend
and then there's all the energy
at the morgan this week
and i go back to this...
remembering what asao taught
in syracuse
and i smile.
it's good to have limitations, yes?
i do however, have the newest mary oliver
a thousand mornings to
savor.
i will take words and wendy
and enjoy my everyday
everydays.

  1. I LOVE this pix of Wendy...she looks as if she is in deep concentration and/or praying.

  2. claudia, she goes deep sometimes. before our walk today she got caught head downhill, on her back. in deep maple leaves by the ditch, cried for help, then got very quiet. fear sets in easily now.

  3. Oh your Miss Wendy...such beauty. I enjoy how some of us (probably more than I realize) are posting of the new Mary Oliver book! Makes me feel connected to something bigger. I welcome limitations sometimes...there are so many choices these days. :)

  7. I see this photo of Wendy ... and a tear slides down my cheek. Perhaps because I've come know just how very special black and white dogs can be.

  8. jan, she is a little b&w blessing, with a pinch of tri-color tan to liven things up.

  9. the best is that what is an ordinary simple life to you is the most extraordinary life to others. so much going on, and tho i will miss your presence here in cleveland, i know it's here in a different kind of way!
