as the day reaches its middle
i rest in wonder
a small river
not yet iced up, it's so warm
calves enjoying good eating
and naptime
this patient old man
who waits high in his pasture each day
for what?
~~~
wishing you peace
peace.
~~~
and peace back to you. wishing you many miracles for the new year.
ReplyDeletethanks, deanna. i think, i THINK, those miracles? they're everywhere!
ReplyDeleteyes, Velma. i agree...starting with each one of us.
ReplyDeletePeace, joy and lots of laughter to you as well.
ReplyDeletechristmas eve was raging thunderstorms - christmas day is still and quiet - the kiddies have risen and delighted in santas offerings (EJ told me she saw the reindeers outside her window - they snorted and woke her up....) both kidlets are now hunkered down over lego right now..... all is good with the world - hope some of those sweet vibes make it in this message xxxx
ReplyDeletejennifer, thanks!
ReplyDeleteronnie, oh, they do, complete with lego!
think the old man might be looking down the little river that seem to have no end - maybe wondering how long it would take to walk to no end? the markings on him - forehead almost look like a little star - so he is the little christmas miracle that guided you through the woods...warmth to all and a special treat for wendy.

ReplyDeletePeace and warmth to you Velma. I want to Know this old man horse, standing with his his head lowered, waiting for a scratch on the neck or a nibble of a treat. He's beautiful.
ReplyDeletemo c, thank you
ReplyDeletenancy, i tried to scratch him, but he was a bit shy, which leads me to think he gets little attention.
