well, i've been hiding this under my hat for a bit.
i've been selected to do
a residency at terraphilia.
terraphilia is a beautiful word
coined by susan tweit and her late husband richard cabe
(who liked my rock books)
terraphilia is in salida, colorado,
and the residency is a place to stay and work.
i will go there after school is out.
and the other piece of news is also grand:
s.d.a. (surface design association) has given me
travel money, so i can travel to and from,
rent a car, and be in the mountains for two weeks.
heaven.
i am very grateful to susan and to the sda.
i am really, really excited!
GREAT!! Congratulations!!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations! How wonderful! Now you need to know it's over 7,000 feet above sea level, and as I grew up in SW Quebec and know a bit about where you live...you need to plan to acclimatize and prepare for the change in altitude so you can enjoy your experience. Plan ahead and you should be fine. :-)
ReplyDeleteBlessings!
jennifer, dance away! me, too!
ReplyDeletemargaret, i know about the altitude...been there several times, drink LOTS of water! my kids went to school in estes park, i visited and taught there several times. i love the thin air!
