see, one happy book artist! two slipcases.
in the spring semester.
models by claire van vliet.
papers by me.
the hard work by aimee lee.
lucky intro to book arts students!
see the two slipcases in my small bookshelf?
from the workshop i took with claire at the papertrail
when it was still in ottawa.
more for myself than for the class (shh, don't tell!) but still, SO great at the end when you make the elegant slipcases! a fun collaboration with you. thanks for planting the seeds!
ReplyDeletethey look so beautiful, and such a happy warm smile. btw, what's the little fibre spider?
ReplyDeletekaite, it's a tiny basket made with hay by leah.
ReplyDeletethat's intro to book arts, not into to book arts--

ReplyDeleteIt must give such a good feeling making your own books. You and Aimee are inspiring me to follow a course one day. I love the natural feel of these books.
ReplyDeleteinteresting contrast between my sets and aimee's. claire had pre-cut all of the papers for the workshop. we made two complete sets and slipcases in two days, and i've used the structures and built my knowledge on them.
ReplyDeleteboth amiee and the books are beautiful. I'd love to be able to sit in on the class.
