a flower

i found a flower
in the snow
today
it astonished me.
no doubt this old tree
had a grand chuckle.
in fact, as i skied past
i heard a small,
very small
sound.

happy new year.
everyone.

  3. I wonder what the small sound sounded like?
I treated myself to a bag of star anise a few days ago... not unlike your flower.

nancy, many thanks, from the wendydog, who no longer goes skiing with me, but will happily walk three miles.
