my wonderful canon powershot won't turn on. i am vexed and miffed, and more than a little of both. when you pay $230.00 for a camera it should work for more than one year and one week, especially if it has had as much tlc as this one has. arrgh!!!!
i will post later, but i feel like my process is out of whack! weird. so here's a photo. i feel exactly like this when dealing with technology. this is a crocheted raffia basket, dyed with black walnut. the body is about 3 inches in diameter and it's reversible.
It's a wonderful little basket... It looks like a bird's nest. You do such lovely work.
ReplyDeletei thought it was a nest until i read your post..it's fantastic!
ReplyDeletethank you. one of a rather long series.
ReplyDeleteyour camera may not be working, but your constantly beautiful art - works for me! love this nest
ReplyDeletewe too had a cannon powershot die on us. it would fight to focus and then finally just give up. finally the screen would turn all kinds of colors and also show up in photos. very depressing.
ReplyDeleteyou've managed a wonderful photo despite it.
my mom used to cut my hair in the summer and leave it out for the birds for nests.....reminds me of this for some reason.
Great basket - I love the colour.
ReplyDeleteSympathies re: the camera. I don't believe it is broken, there is just some button thingey somewhere that someone else will find. Ask for help.
Working with natural fibers in natural colors that brings such loveliness. Thank you. You deserve a new camera...your photography is lovely.
ReplyDeletelessons: buy extended warranties, call canon immediately (i did sat. and have to wait till mon.), it will probably cost $80. at the least. the last camera shop in 100 mi radius closed two years ago.
ReplyDeletejoei-i was going to, except i'd like to eat this month.
oh dear - pipes, car, camera! you poor dear - what a time. Yes, eat this month...hope the camera thing turns out to be simple and inexpensive (one can hope!)
ReplyDeleteand computer (last fall). 2009 cost me a LOT of money, still trying to recover.
ReplyDeleteHi V - I have been following your posts and pictures, always so many thoughts swirling I abandon the comment process over and over, but wanted you to know I am here, reading and viewing and appreciating. The re-aligning can be so vexing, I agree, but I bet you will create beauty in spite of it all. Catherine
