i have been told that i'm humor impaired. in my defense i give you exhibit pig. the pig (actually a bank) is large enough for a three year old to ride. i've been urged to get rid of the pig. it's creepy, hannah says.
exhibit black: this is a dyed raffia, bead, and fishing fly chrcheted miniature basket called trout fishing in america. holding it is potentially painful (all those little hooks). i think both of these are funny. reactions to pig, or people looking at the basket, refusing to touch the thing, amuse me. i don't think sarcasm is funny. or nicknaming.
I'm not a fan of sarcasm or labeling either... I do have to agree... the pig is very humorous... The basket is really cool... I'm just not sure I'd want to try to pick it up...

I think the size of the pig is funny, if nothing else...
ReplyDeletemy oh my. the pig...the size of the pig...the thought that went into making a pig as such of it's size...I must say I think I would find it the tiniest bit creepy too, especially if I were to run into one on my way to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

ReplyDeleteI had a campaign against sarcasm in my house. We were in a bad habit of it. I wrote it everywhere. No Sarcasm. My son would read it "Nascar-ism" What's up with this Nas-carism? But, I think I've won.... Amusing pig, by the way. And nice nest of hooks.
ReplyDeleteI like your pig, it makes me miss the elephant I had when I was little and I like your basket. I also don't think sarcasm is funny. I am a hopeless nicknamer, for my sweetie and my nieces - but not mean ones! They're very loving. I've been hit with some good nicknames, too.

ReplyDeletecatherine, nicknames from love are not at all what i'm talking about. it's those belittling nicknames...the ones that point out a weakness or "flaw".
