when you need more than plain,
more than the grid of over one, under one,
you play.
sometimes
serious play.
my dear friend pat bramhall
weaving a basket
in silver
sometimes your weave becomes a map
and you search
stitch
excavate
deep and shallow
a mole's travels
or a trail
further evidence of the ermine
and a stone
split by weather
more paths
tracks
mapping
and weaving
grid of living here and now
mud season
it's here.
the stone speaks to me
ReplyDeleteweaving with silver,
ReplyDeleteslow weaving,cannot be hurried,
must take it's own time.
n, it's beautiful, isn't it?
ReplyDeletek, pat tells me she colors the fine silver with ink, in order to keep the pattern straight.
V- the weaving looks like it requires more patience than I tend to maintain; loved the ermine photo and the further evidence - must be great to have such a critter around. B
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh, mud season...but the sun is wonderful!!! xo

ReplyDeletebarry, pat is the epitome of patience and perseverance
ReplyDeletecait, pulls shoes off the horses, but it does slow down the springtime willies a bit!
