wendy won't eat,
she's just peaceful and fading.
she drinks and pees.
i'm not taking her to the vet (again) or forcing the meds (anymore),
just waiting with her,
to see what comes.
i've tempted her with her favorite yummy foods to no avail.
and that's all.
thank you all for checking in.
it matters.
thinking of you both.

ReplyDeleteVelma I am sorry to hear about your Wendy; my thoughts and prayers are with you. We lost our beautiful Ed earlier this year. We miss him.

Bless her; bless you. My kitten went missing last night. Like Wendy, she is in the space in between -- wherever we would like them to be, and where they are. My prayers and love go out to you. Whatever IS, is; whatever will be, will be. Regardless of humanity, we are in God's hands.
ReplyDeleteHugs across cyberspace,

I admire your decision to let nature follow the natural course, although painful for you I think it is best for Wnedy, a true act of love letting her go and stop her pain.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking of you both. You made me cry, remembering my wolfhound, Misty, who passed away a few months ago. You're doing the right thing. I wish I could give you a hug.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you here. She will fade peacefully, she knows best. Little Charlie is fading also, we know how it is.
