wendy is better, tired, but so much better.
drinking, not eating, wagging tail, watching me
she perseveres.
for everyone's good wishes,
the love for this little
funny
border collie
my heart says thanks.
we'll see how the night goes.
milkweed pulp, ready to be beaten
our hearts give thanks for wendy!
ReplyDeleteaimee, and mine gives thanks for you, for all the good energy coming this way. she is content.
ReplyDeleteso happy to hear she has re-bounded. a worrying time, take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteYou and Wendy have been on my mind all day... I spent a good chunk of it dreaming and singing on the mosses, spectacular spot where I sink inches into the ground. Sent healing songs your way. Blessings.
ReplyDeletejean and valerie, were hanging in for now. she's such an amazing girl, fragile though she is. everyone's energy has made all this easier for us.
ReplyDeleteWhen I first read about Wendy in crisis, my long life with many dogs and cats resurfaced, with all the force of worry, love, and loss that it encompassed. This animal love is a powerful force, isn't it. I wish your dearie many more years with the her challenged ticker, and by your side, and I wish you the peace of mind to go on loving no matter what.
ReplyDeletems. wendy is my first elderly dog, all other canines have died or left me by middle age. being present with her, not interfering any more than i did last october when she went on heart medication, this has been borrowed time. very rich borrowed time.
ReplyDeleteElderly dogs are a gift - from them to us, and from us to them. I thank you for being such a loving care taker for her. It makes my heart feel better knowing she is so well loved, which is what its all about.
ReplyDeleteleslie, i feel more like one groping her way through a dark tunnel. thanks, i do love her.
ReplyDeleteVelma..your comment says it all right now.
ReplyDeletelove to you.
Thinking of you and Wendy in her quiet days...
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're (both) hanging in there. Thoughts and hugs sent your way.
ReplyDeleteglad to hear she's doing better.
ReplyDeletethank you all. she's very quiet this morning.
ReplyDeleteglad to hear your pupster is feeling better. I watched a movie called 'Invasion' last night (think: Invasion of the Bodysnatchers) and the gunk that grew on the invaded humans looked a bit like your milkweed pulp!!
ReplyDeletesending a special dog bone made of love and light and healing. good thoughts to all.
ReplyDeleteBest, best wishes for you both.
ReplyDeletedee, a milkweed invasion, think of it!
ReplyDeletem and lynn, thanks.
Sending warm wiahes for Wendy and for you. I thought about both of you a lot yesterday. I know it's so hard.
ReplyDeleteJust to let you know you and Wendy are not alone, we are thinking of you.
ReplyDeletethanks, susan
ReplyDeletejoanne, so lovely to hear your "voice". you've been through this. thanks for your encouragement.
