st. lawrence county has lots of: cows and trees
 a scary day
 canton's dairy princess day,
a little before the crowds arrived
 seriously. a dairy princess
 the princesses
made in vermont but very good cheddar
 stuff i don't eat
our guy: frederick remington and his rushton canoe
 !!!!!
 the local feed store
and some ducks willy nilly
this looked to be one of the few totally home made booths, sad to say.
a busy saturday.
 i went home and napped.
twice. overnight in the woods wore me out.

  2. Goodness.... rubber duckies don't quite seem to fit the theme - but then again, Dairy Princesses - two things that don;t usually go together either!

  3. hee hee hee - I'm feeling right at home with these snaps (only the cheese brands and cow breeds have changed... well maybe only the brands... )

that's one young calf to be out and about in the big scary world (I suspect from the dried umbilical cord I can see is still attached and its front legs that haven't fully straightened yet, that this little one is probably only a couple of days old....)

ps sams creek is a dairy-princess free zone!

  4. yes, i can't believe i was there with my camera, but i didn't want to stay for the parade or the park events this year, but i did want to see what was up. dairy goats were missing. ronnie, they looked so scared. and, we have a maple princess, too!!!

  5. ha ha cows! when i lived up there the cows easily outnumbered the people; the town i was in was surrounded by dairy farms, but you still had to drive 20 minutes into ogdensburg to get a gallon of milk. it's a shame there weren't more homemade booths; i experienced the same thing when we went to a couple of local fairs here in georgia (when i was a child you could find the most amazing crafts at fairs).
