december

i woke to a morning
of a tiny snow fall
cold northern fingers
reached down to surprise us
dazed as we were from
perpetual autumn.

 branches reach
into the sky
or not?
a little bit colder now.
~~~
and later...
book/library/thoughts/images/words
espianage
go here
to see the whole tale
  1. yes, a season of change must occur yet from one type of beauty there is the aspect of another. vision may be a little clearer, or muted by early morning fog but once lifted the colors renew your pallet: defining, a lever in a timepiece that receives the impulses from the escapement wheel and imparts motion to a balance or pendulum.
  11. Hi V - what a wonderful, still gentle, welcome to winter. What I love most about the story is that the newspapers have kind of agreed not to publish the name - to retain a bit of mystery and to support the notion that we don't actually have to share everything! I agree - Scotland calls me often and I love to visit the wild west coast...
  13. Incredible link!!
    Your photos are beautiful. I always think the change to warmer months, with all the emerging and growing are my favorite, but something about the change leading to winter is so special too. For the past few mornings we have stopped in our tracks to admire the delicate sparkle that covers everything.
  15. we're not that cold yet on the watery West Coast, but I love to see it in your pictures. I too, saw the beginnings of the mystery in Scotland but not the end. The work is exquisite, it would be marvellous to see them all together.
