i've been making paper
first the amazing golden hosta (remember?)
and this second batch is smaller
greener.
hosta
field retted
remained uncooked
gin petty writes of how ornery it is,
always cockles, no matter how much restraint in the drying.
that's my experience also, but i don't actually mind.
much.
doctor says to inspect my finger in two weeks.
if there's no healing, it will be time for the orthopedic surgeon.
cross your fingers for me,
please.
crossing all fingers!!!
ReplyDeleteOuch... definitely crossing fingers. Good luck and beautiful papers!
ReplyDeletethanks
ReplyDeletefingers crossed for finger (and that one day I might touch a sheet as yummy as though golden an green ones)
ReplyDeletesurgeons - oh no! - its fingers, toes and eyes crossed for you - what sort of jeans are they anyway that can inflict such an injury, pretty vicious ones by the sound of it
ReplyDeleteFingers well and truly crossed.
ReplyDeleteV-really sorry to hear about your finger - hopefully with full rest it will show improvement - I'm always looking for a way to avoid the surgeons. Paper just looks great - always amazes me the patience required to create it. we are a bit out of contact - no mobiles or emails at the moment - only slow Internet connection - bit flakey. Go well. B
ReplyDeletehoping for no surgeon, and a working finger in two wednesdays! but if surgeon, then hoping for a good attitude (i'm rather grumpy about this)
ReplyDeleteyou should be fine, he's only giving you the worst outcome aspect just because they have to.
ReplyDeletehow long will it be by then? 4 weeks or 6?
I want to touch that paper - beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSorry your finger is not well - i missed the details but wish you well.
Consider them crossed. And a wee prayer added to the mix. Blessings!
ReplyDeletesweet.
ReplyDeleteoh, I've got everything crossed. time to turn those jeans into pulp & paper (I spin reconstituted jean's fibre). love the hosta paper, I never would have guessed.
ReplyDeleteI will send you light directing it to your finger.
ReplyDeletethank you all. so. much.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful papers, and my fingers are crossed for you...best healing wishes for recovery before surgery.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed and toes, too, if that will help.
