V-truely good mail - the goat looks to be both leather and vellum - is that so - if so great base for book work. Hope the spring is in full flight in your part of the globe. We are in rather warm (about 32C) in Darwin - lots of stormy afternoon. Back to Melville Island tomorrow morning. Go well. B

You DO get good mail! Goat makes a great drum as well, though you need quite a bit.

you have a magical mail box. Chinami's weaving is very fine, is it silk? and natural dyes? think I have only seen her indigo work. more treasures.

jean, it's a story i may tell on the blog, keep you in suspense...he, he, he

ahhh now that's something you don't get in the mail everyday! especially around these parts.....aussie quarantine laws would mean that the goat and vellum (and probably the delicious weaving... mostly because its too damn beautiful) would be confiscated by the powers-that-be.... (and any vellum is nigh on impossible to get in oz nowdays)

sigh

carol always knows what bits will move me, she taught me how to dye vellum a couple years ago which changed my life. too bad about the mail...is that how rabbits got there???
