it's august, when

the lightening bugs disappear
the robins cease
and other, less melodic birds take over
days shorten
insects crank it up
 green starts looking tired
my teaching moulds arrived back from the west coast
safely swaddled in my dirty laundry
i had a little fun with some produce
i met a curious young thing
after supper
and thought about framing images

  2. Definitely, tired green... and a bit of yellow on my little birch tree when I looked out this morning, THAT gave me pause!

  4. I had noticed the cranking up of the insects as well, and had paused to think how August has it's own particular sound. It always makes me think of the coming Fall.
