this morning i opened the window
to listen to the first long robin song.
robin was in front of my house
singing his heart out.
and my heart was healed.
spring is here.
there have been a few more small prints this week
and about 15 half sheet prints (big ones)
for the book project.
i put some plant papers with the prints
to see if they can dance together
or at least converse,
not argue.
on my walk
the sky and that weird structure
my neighbor built (he of the unfinished projects)
the deer are everywhere,
moving, eating,
even on the river here,
though it moved away before i could press the shutter
this one was napping just by the fence
near the roadside!
i did stop to check on it
it was in fine fettle
winter is still holding on,
I can almost smell the spring in your photographs. Enjoy!
ReplyDeletealice, it smells of snow and humus and, er, SPRING!
ReplyDeleteBird song and the light caught in melting ice ... nature's imprints ... small things to make the heart glad
ReplyDeleteliz, heart's singing with robin!
ReplyDeleteno doubt the deer are as happy to see (and hear) Spring as you are. those printed pages look wonderful.
ReplyDeletejean, you should see them with letterpress words!
ReplyDeleteyes. it is here. love that last bit of ice hanging.
ReplyDeletejude, icicles make their last stand (hang?)
ReplyDeleteSaw my first robins today... and I SMELLED spring for the first time today, too. 60 and sunny. YAY!
ReplyDeletevalerie, i've seen only one, but i've heard much singing.i also heard that someone heard a woodcock, and these two migrate together.
ReplyDeleteThose papers are dancing and singing with each other (and the robin.)
ReplyDeletemelissa, thanks, i hope i don't interfere.
ReplyDeleteHi V - so glad that the bird song is there to lift the spirits - spring is coming.Love the light on the ice crystal. Go well. B
ReplyDeleteSpring is still so softly coloured and muted over your way - but I am glad it has arrived for you. Can't wait to see the letterpress pages done - big excitement!
ReplyDeletebarry, with the robins came the woodcock, my favorite weird-o bird.
ReplyDeletefiona, still muddy looking, and then yesterday i woke to a new 3 or 4 inches of snow.
